The one salary-negotiation line I have ever actually needed

"Is there any flexibility on the base?" Then say nothing. Let the silence sit. It works far more often than it has any right to, because most first offers have deliberate room built in.

My interview-tracking system: one sheet, five columns, zero fancy tools

Company, role, stage, next action, date. That is it. Every dropped ball I ever had was a "next action" I never wrote down. The tool does not matter, the habit of writing the next step does.

A conflict, a failure, a win. Three stories, pre-loaded, adaptable to almost any "tell me about a time". You will never be caught blank, and prepared beats spontaneous every single time in a behavioral round.
