I can see you in the "who viewed your profile" list. You can see me. We could end this so easily with two words either way. Instead, six silent visits and counting.

The LinkedIn stalking-but-not-replying is a special kind of cruel.
At this point I just want closure and my calendar back. I stopped applying elsewhere for a week because they were "so close". Never pause your search for a verbal maybe.

Rule I learned the hard way: keep applying until the signed offer is in your inbox.
The enthusiasm-to-silence pipeline is the most disorienting part of this whole process. High highs, then a wall. I would take a fast no over a warm maybe that dissolves.
To make it all the way to the last round and then just... nothing. If I was close enough to interview four times, I was close enough for one email. The final-round ghost is the worst tier of ghost.
Found out when my emails started bouncing. My whole loop just fell into a void because one person left and no handoff happened. Always ask "who is my backup contact" early.
The "aligning internally" black hole. It has been three weeks. I have mentally moved on but the calendar hold still haunts my Google Calendar like a ghost.
A verbal offer is not an offer. Learned to say "thrilled, please send the written and I will sign same day" and to keep interviewing until the paper exists. Words are wind.
There is a specific grief in drafting a fourth "just checking in" email and realizing you are the only one still in this relationship. Deleted it. Moved on. Freeing, actually.
You've reached the Mariana Trench. That's everything for now.
